Gearing up for a jam-packed month? May tends to be full. Lots of holidays, end of school, graduations, field trips and field days, awards ceremonies, plays, etc. Yeah, it can all be a bit much and then you wonder why you can’t get a decent meal on the table!

No more, friend! I am giving you some easy and classic meal ideas below. And most of them are completely make-ahead. Take one or two days in your week and just make some food!

Tostadas are a classic and can be thrown together in no time!

If you’re already in a good groove with meal planning, keep things going strong into the summer months with these amazing and quick meal ideas for May! And if you are barely making it and want to start meal planning more, just plug these meal ideas into your calendar. It’s so simple!

Tried-and-True Meal Ideas for May

Most of the meals I have listed for May are either classic recipes or super easy meals. Either way, you can make most of them ahead of time or even prep certain ingredients to make cooking easier (see The 15-Minute Meal Prep Solution That’ll Free Up Your Weekends).

Any recipe with a link is one that we love at our house. The ones with asterisks and links are recipes I’ve been meaning to try and haven’t yet. The recipe ideas without a link are ones we like but don’t have a specific recipe we follow.
