Change Your Life…at Home…in Less than an Hour a Day

*This is the 14th day of the One Month Spending Freeze Challenge. Please click here to see all of the posts in this series.*

Sometimes I get the itch. You know? The one where I’m a bit tired of my every day life and I want something more. I got the itch when I started thinking about writing a blog. I got the itch when I graduated from college and couldn’t find a job. I even got the itch more recently when I felt like I was not living up to my potential.

You might think that because you are a stay-at-home mom or otherwise stuck at home that you cannot do anything with your life. But that's just not true! You can change your life little by little without ever leaving your home!© Catwoman / Dollar Photo Club

These itches are positive. As long as I do something about them, I can improve my way of life. If I ignore them, though, I get stuck in a rut.

Do you ever get the itch, or is that just me? I bet you do, so here’s something that you should know. Everyone who gets the itch can do something about it in less than an hour a day…at home. There is no need to go out and spend money to get your itch taken care of. You can change your life with very little time at home.

Working the 9-5 and itching for something more exciting? Start a side hustle. It will change your life for good.

Buried by piles of papers and random clutter in your home and itching to just make it all go away? Purge and sell your stuff. It will cut down on the amount of stress you have.

Ideas for What You Can Do to Change Your Life

Whatever your particular itch, there is likely a solution that you can try from your home. If you think outside the box, whatever you do to scratch that itch will change your life and help you grow.

These are my ideas for endeavors that can give you positive change in your life, even just by spending a small amount of time on them each day:

  • Exercise
  • Work on financial habits
  • Garden
  • Write a book
  • Practice yoga
  • Start a side hustle
  • Make online videos
  • Learn how to meditate
  • Start a business
  • Learn a new skill
  • Set goals
  • Write down habits you want to break and work on changing them
  • Take responsibility for what is amiss in your life
  • Sell your stuff and become a minimalist
  • Make more time in your life
  • Find out your passion and devote time to it
  • Evaluate your current diet and where you could make healthy changes
  • Take time to write or journal each day to help you solve your problems
  • Read books that can change you

Are you ready to take control of the life you are leading with very little time investment and all from your own home? It’s exciting, isn’t it?

Today’s challenge for the spending freeze is to identify an itch in your life. What can you do at this time in your life to change that? Be sure that it can be done from home for free (or almost free) and with very little time.

I would love to hear about your ideas in the comments below!
